Environmental Health

A section of International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (ISSN 1660-4601).

Section Information

Environmental health is a transdisciplinary field that includes the interaction of environmental factors with biological systems. This field focuses on the relationships between humans and their environment, both natural and built, addressing factors that may influence health outcomes. The Environmental Health section emphasizes public health promotion through the timely publication and dissemination of novel discoveries on the impact of environmental stressors on human health. We welcome submissions of manuscripts that highlight fundamental and/or applied research on environmentally induced human diseases. The goal of environmental health is to prevent and control disease, injury, and other health conditions that may result from exposure to environmental hazards. Manuscripts that focus solely on clinical studies are deferred to other sections of the journal. We publish regular research papers, short communications, and reviews, including systematic reviews on relevant topics of environmental health and comprehensive reviews on emerging technologies. Special Issues focus on new and emerging areas of environmental health sciences. We encourage transdisciplinary approaches to environmental public health. There is no restriction on the length of the papers submitted to or published by the journal. Experimental approaches should be sufficiently detailed so that the results can be reproduced.
