The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes articles and communications in the interdisciplinary areas of environmental health sciences and public health. The mental-health subsection focuses on psychopathology, psychotherapy, addiction, harm reduction, psychological wellbeing, cyber mental health, and mental-health empowerment from a global perspective.
In-depth, original articles and systematic reviews concerning mental health that are up to date with new bio–psycho–social developments in the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of mental illness are welcome. Additionally, this section considers integrated investigations focused on defining effects and modes of action through innovative technologies, including virtual reality. Another topic covered in this section will is the assessment of addiction risks in real-life settings, and the definition of strategies for harm reduction in order to prevent addiction-related diseases and promote mental-health empowerment. Overall, this section aims to be a useful source for innovative perspectives, practices, and policies focused on the promotion of psychological wellbeing around the world.
