10th Anniversary of Galaxies

The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of Galaxies, a peer-reviewed, open access journal of astronomy, astrophysics, and cosmology, published bimonthly online by MDPI. We immensely value the contributions made by both authors and reviewers. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this journal, we are arranging events and the release of special content. We exceedingly hope that you are able to join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal, and we hope that you enjoy the collection below.

Development and Achievements

 

1. The inaugural issue is released. Galaxies was published as a quarterly journal.



2. Founding Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Dr. Emilio Elizalde.

Galaxies is indexed in Inspec (IET).

Galaxies is indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).



1. Galaxies is indexed in Scopus (Elsevier).



2. Galaxies announces the first edition of the Travel Awards.



Galaxies receives its new CiteScore of 3.3 for the year of 2021, ranking the journal 40/91 in the category of Astronomy and Astrophysics.



1. Galaxies adopts a bimonthly publication schedule.

2. New Editors-in-Chief: Dr. Margo Aller and Dr. Jose L. Gómez.
