Maintenance is a critical industry aspect that is required to reach competitiveness, being the most important together with operations in the energy industry. Therefore, correct management of the corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance in any energy industry is required. This Special Issue, “Advances in Maintenance Management” will consider the main concepts and state-of-the-art advances and case studies in this topic.
This Issue will consider original research works with content complementary to other sub-disciplines such as economics, finance, marketing, decision and risk analysis, engineering, etc. in maintenance management.
The Issue will also consider real case studies, including main topics such as failures detection and diagnosis, fault trees, and subdisciplines (e.g., FMECA, FMEA, etc.). It is essential to link these topics with financial, schedule, resources, downtimes, etc. to increase productivity, profitability, maintainability, reliability, safety, and availability, and reduce costs and downtime in the energy industry.
Advances in mathematics, models, computational techniques, and dynamic analysis are employed in maintenance management, where this Issue will present the more important contributions. Computational techniques, dynamic analysis, probabilistic methods, and mathematical optimization techniques that are expertly blended to support analysis of multi-criteria decision-making problems with defined constraints and requirements are also welcome.

For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
