This Special Issue (SI) is entitled “Recent Advancements and Applications of Signal Processing”. In the field of signal processing, the main trends are automation, intelligence, and the use of multiple sensors. Many methods based on new or existing theorems have recently been proposed, while the corresponding applications are progressing extensively and in depth. Radio detection and ranging (Radar), as a significant microwave sensor, possess the capability of working in all weather conditions and all day and night and have been flourishing with the blessing of image technology. Today, the emerging radar applications include remote sensing, synthetic aperture processing, compressive sensing for sparse radar signal recovery, convex optimization, sparse Bayesian learning (SBL), structure-guaranteed algorithm, the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM), radar image processing, target detection and recognition, etc.; the field also many essential concepts or structures with methods in telecommunication, sonar application, image processing, analysis, and artificial intelligence, in addition to conventional radar signal processing. Therefore, we look forward to the latest research on radar signal processing and the aforementioned research fields. Authors are welcome and encouraged to submit their manuscripts of original work on any of the following or related areas:
- Sparse signal recovery;
- Radar signal processing of machine learning methods;
- Radar signal processing of sparse Bayesian learning methods;
- Radar signal processing of the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM);
- Radar signal processing of convex optimization;
- Synthetic aperture radar signal processing;

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2200 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
