Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In the past decade, a huge number of mobile applications and telehealth systems have been created for healthcare purposes. However, the number of mobile health apps and telehealth systems created specifically for older adults and people with disabilities are limited. In this Special Issue, we want to collect studies in this area in particular. Contributions to the issue can be mobile apps or telehealth/eHealth interventions for older adults and people with disabilities. They can also be investigations into related areas—for instance, studies about the accessibility of mobile health apps and telehealth/eHealth, usability studies, feasibility studies, and related security and privacy issues. In recent years, researchers have begun to incorporate machine learning into these systems, so that the digital intervention can be personalized by dynamic adjustment and customization based on the specific context and needs of patients. Contributions to this issue can be original research studies or review articles.

This Special Issue will house a collection of the current state of the art in this area, which can be used to guide further relevant studies.
