Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue of Educational Sciences welcomes submissions from contributors focused on “Online Learning in STEM Education: Pedagogies, Practices and Applications”. STEM education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics requires online emerging technologies to address COVID-19 situations that are expansive. An integrated approach to teaching and learning and teacher preparation are key aspects of developing a responsible generation interested in and skilled in online STEM learning and should lead to changes in existing approaches to teaching, practice, and application.

In this Special Issue on “Online Learning in STEM Education: Pedagogies, Practices and Applications”, we are interested in submissions on online learning in STEM education in early childhood, primary, secondary, and higher education. This study may involve integrated, interdisciplinary, and innovative approaches that can address such uninformed situations of online learning in STEM education. All research methods will be considered, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research.

The topics of this Special Issue include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Online training/learning environments in STEM education;
  2. Online learning pedagogical model in STEM education;
  3. Accessibility in online learning system design and its extension to STEM fields;
  4. Online learning in STEM education practices and current issues;
  5. Situational feedback and learning experiences in online learning in STEM education;
  6. Teachers implementing STEM lessons for online learning;
  7. Professional development for teachers of online learning technologies in STEM education;
  8. Design, implementation, and evaluation of online STEM learning and teaching using emerging technologies;
  9. Applications and systems for online learning in STEM education.
