Special Issue Information
Artificial Intelligence plays a crucial decision-making role in various areas, but the most significant is the computer-aided diagnosis field. Information from patients, such as signals, images, records, and temperature chemical concentrations, decides the status of the patient and the health protocol used to attempt to solve such problems. Therefore, physicians need a supportive decision-making system to help them to diagnose patient cases precisely. Moreover, a lot of pressure is being imposed on physicians due to an increasing population and a shortage of experts, especially in rare countries. The availability of an AI support system makes the task easier and reduces the number of mistake cases. Building a standalone AI system requires big data to make it a generalized model, and it can be dependable software in clinics and hospitals. Obtaining a trustable AI model depends mainly on having sufficient knowledge of data analysis, image processing, signal analysis, and AI algorithms (machine learning and deep learning approaches), besides features engineering tools.
In this Special Issue, “Intelligent Diagnosis and Classification of Clinical Diseases”, we will cover original articles, short communications, and reviews related to various computer-aided diagnoses for biomedical systems. Applications such as patient monitoring, disease diagnosis and progression, patient rehabilitation, and medical image analysis are encouraged. We anticipate to receive papers focusing on the novel aspects of signal processing or modeling that facilitate solving this problem.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Diagnostics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2000 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
