Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Asthma is a highly complex and heterogeneous disease that is characterized by chronic airway inflammation, together with recurrent episodes of wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and variable airflow obstruction. Asthma is the most common chronic disease in children and a cause of great distress for children. Young children are particularly diverse, with numerous and variable phenotypic presentations in early life that correspond to different outcomes. Despite the high reported rates of remission of asthma, the disease is usually considered as treatable but not curable once present.

We are pleased to invite you contribute to this Special Issue on recent advances in childhood asthma. This Special Issue aims to highlight the risk factors, causes, and symptoms and link these to targeted therapies for asthma. We welcome original research articles and reviews.

Guest Editor
