Pediatric Cardiology

A section of Children (ISSN 2227-9067).

Section Information

The Pediatric Cardiology Section invites submissions pertaining to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and cardiovascular diseases in children and adolescents. This encompasses structural and functional heart conditions, arterial hypertension, cardiac involvement in systemic diseases (including but not limited to chronic kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, onco-hematological conditions, metabolic diseases, etc.), as well as the developmental origins of health and disease, including pre- and perinatal cardiovascular risk modulation.

Articles are encouraged to explore various aspects such as physiological understanding, prevention, diagnosis, therapy, supportive care, long-term outcomes, epidemiology, organization of care, and the economic impact of these diseases. We welcome submissions of clinical trials, observational studies (cohort studies, case-control studies), retrospective data analyses, prospective and retrospective case series, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses.

While we will rarely consider case reports, they will be accepted exceptionally and only if they present novel findings with significant clinical and scientific implications.
