28–31 May 2024 Polymers 2024 – Polymers for a Safe and Sustainable Future

Athens, Greece

We are very proud and honored to announce the international conference “Polymers 2024—Polymers for a Safe and Sustainable Future”, organized in collaboration with the MDPI open access journal Polymers, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and BIOMAC project, and Exelisis Co. The conference will be held in Athens, Greece, on May 28–31, 2024.

Polymers 2024 is an international conference that will explore the latest advances in polymer science to produce safe and sustainable materials, with unique properties for human health and environmental sustainability. The conference will also discuss clean, green, and efficient production processes, life cycle assessments, exposure, risk assessment, decontamination and environmental remediation, and novel techniques for polymer recycling and reuse. Polymers 2024 is a unique opportunity for polymer scientists from around the world to present their work and innovations in polymer chemistry and technology under the view of sustainable development.

The conference follows the previous successful meetings Polymers 2018—Polymers: Design, Function and Application held in March 2018, Barcelona, Spain and Polymers 2022: New Trends in Polymer Science: Health of the Planet, Health of the People held in May 2022 in Turin, Italy.

We welcome abstracts for posters or short talks related to the conference theme, which will be considered for presentation at the conference. Meeting participants will have the opportunity to present their work and discuss their research in a stimulating environment.

27–29 November 2024 Pharmaceuticals 2024 - Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences Towards a Healthy Life

Barcelona, Spain

Welcome to Pharmaceuticals 2024 celebrating Pharmaceuticals 20th anniversary! This meeting will showcase the art of discovering new molecules, their physical properties, and their modes of action in the search for molecular entities that are able to improve health and quality of life for humankind.

Covering the newest technologies, and the research areas of medicinal chemistry, natural products, organic synthesis, radiopharmaceuticals, pharmacology, toxicology, biomolecular and glycosciences, among others, the meeting will bring together experts presenting their latest findings on combatting infection, inflammation, pain and neurodegeneration, to cite some of the relevant topics that will be discussed.

In this meeting, we encourage participation from all areas of pharmaceutical research to highlight recent advances in the field of applied chemistry in the search for novel solutions for the world‘s pharmaceutical needs. We will finally meet in person, and will have the opportunity to bring together the younger generation, the experts and the companies to plan science and technology for the future. A roundtable will be organized to start and facilitate further discussions.

We are very pleased to announce that a ceremony is also planned to honour Prof. Jean Jacques Vanden Eynde, former Editor in Chief of Pharmaceuticals (2015-2022), in recognition of his dedication to Pharmaceuticals over several years.

9 May 2024 What’s under the Hood of Astrochemistry?

We wish to give everyone a warm welcome to our discussion of what’s under the hood of astrochemistry.  In many ways, chemistry is the fingerprint of astrophysics. Chemistry is the study of matter, and this matter interacts with light. This light is what we observe in telescopes and even with space probes. Hence, the precepts of chemistry are essential for explaining how astronomical matter evolves and changes and how the physical conditions of an astronomical region affect the matter therein. Our presentations today will discuss vital molecules and chemical processes for understanding how different astronomical objects grow and evolve. This pertains to the molecular origins of life as well as how the universe continues to evolve and our ability to observe it.
