Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

COVID-19 has created significant supply chain problems, which are affecting production and consumption as well as international trade. Governments in several countries have borrowed significant amounts of money to support their economies in the early period of COVID-19, which eventually led to inflation. The global pandemic also changed consumer behavior, modes of production and financing. Service sectors such as tourism and hospitality are still reeling from these disruptions. Buy now, pay later and other fintech innovations are now playing an important role in all major economies. The war in Europe led to a significant increase in the price of oil, which has led to a further increase in uncertainty. The major economies of the world are facing the problem of inflation, which necessitated interest rate increases. Increases in the interest rates to control inflation have led to further increases in the cost of doing business. In overall terms, the world economy is facing more uncertainty now. This Special Issue will consider papers that deal with challenges that businesses are facing at different levels. Previously unpublished, high-quality papers that deal with supply chain issues, fintech innovations, and the effect of COVID-19 on businesses, industries, countries, and regions are especially welcome. All papers will be thoroughly peer-reviewed.
