Section Information

The Section Neuromuscular and Movement Disorders aims to publish cutting-edge original research and critical reviews on basic science, translational research, and clinical medicine that will substantially move our understanding on these disorders forward and improve treatment of neuromuscular disease and movement disorders. The section is international and multidisciplinary and aims to promote progress in the epidemiology, etiology, genetics, and molecular and cellular biology using in vitro and in vivo models aiming to shed light on pathophysiology and pathogenesis, neuroimaging (using MRI, SPECT, PET, etc.) and other biomarkers, neuropsychology, neurophysiology, pharmacology, diagnosis, and treatment of these disorders, including neuromodulation. Manuscripts covering hot topics in Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders are particularly welcome. We look forward to receiving high-quality and innovative research with rigorous methods. The journal provides rigorous peer review by international experts, very rapid online publication and a wide accessibility to all members of the scientific community due to its affordable open access option. After your paper is accepted for publication, we will also assist in promoting the research.
