Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Implantable and wearable medical devices are widely used in real-life applications, including health monitoring, rehabilitation engineering, and medical diagnosis. Scientific research in this multidisciplinary field involves numerical modeling analysis and engineering applications that fuse concepts, methods, and principles. Technological innovations always face diverse challenges, such as a priori information modeling, efficient computation, sensitivity, reliability, sensor configuration and optimization, miniaturization, and low-power design.

This Special Issue aims to provide a platform for original, high-quality papers that focus on state-of-the-art research results and comprehensive reviews of implantable and wearable medical devices, covering principal analysis, experimental exploration, sensor design, and prototype development. Research topics include (but are not limited to): experimental, theoretical, and numerical analysis studies in medical diagnostics; improvement and exploration of measurement methods and materials for sensors (bioelectrical, optical, electrochemical, biological, etc.); miniaturization, comfort, and low-power design of prototype devices; application and analysis of medical health signals (e.g., pattern recognition, sentiment analysis, rehabilitation applications, etc.).

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Biosensors is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
