Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Numerous factors and molecules are involved in different inflammatory processes that fundamentally determine the molecular background of several diseases with chronic inflammation in humans and animal models. Imbalance between pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory molecules including cytokines, metabolites, and other chemicals and regulators contributes to alterations in environmental milieu and results in neuroinflammation damaging peripheral nerves and ganglia, both in somatic and autonomic nervous systems. The aim of this Special Issue is to highlight the molecular mechanisms that trigger inflammation contributing to peripheral neuropathy or new therapeutic approaches addressing neuroinflammation in different diseases. This Special Issue is open for original research articles as well as review articles.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website.
