Section Information

This section will publish reviews and original peer-reviewed papers of a high scientific level covering all the aspects of virology, vaccines, and viral vectors. Papers aimed at uncovering mechanisms of the viral-mediated pathogenesis of diseases together with the development of diagnostic tests and therapeutics are welcome. Topics also include but are not limited to the development and evaluation of vaccines and viral vectors for gene transfer; the evaluation of DNA and RNA therapeutics, such as microRNA; the application of viral-mediated strategies for the treatment of cellular and animal models of human diseases and possible clinical applications; the development and application of novel models of human diseases; and viral-vector-mediated gene editing.
