We are pleased to announce the “Axioms 2025 Best Paper Award” for research and review articles published in Axioms from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. Two papers will each be selected and awarded after a thorough evaluation by the journal’s Award Committee led by the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Humberto Bustince.

Eligibility for the Award:
– Papers published in Axioms from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023;
– Open to all career levels;
– Both regular and Special Issue submissions will be considered.

Selection Criteria:
The papers will be selected by the journal’s Award Committee according to the following criteria:
– Scientific merit and broad impact;
– Originality of the research objectives and/or the ideas presented;
– Creativity of the study design or uniqueness of the approaches and concepts;
– Clarity of presentation;
– Citations and downloads.

The Prize:
– CHF 500;
– A chance to publish a paper free of charge in Axioms in 2025 after peer review;
– Each winner will also receive a certificate.

The winners will be announced on the journal website in June 2025.

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Axioms 2022 Young Investigator Award is Dr. S. Ivan Trapasso.

Dr. S. Ivan Trapasso is an assistant professor in mathematical analysis at the Department of Mathematics “G. L. Lagrange” of Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Formerly, he has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Machine Learning Genoa Center (MaLGa) of the University of Genoa, Italy. Dr. Trapasso’s expertise is in the field of harmonic analysis in phase space, focusing on the time-frequency analysis of distributions, operators, and partial differential equations. His research interests extend to mathematical aspects of quantum physics, computational and applied harmonic analysis, and mathematics of machine learning. Dr. Trapasso received his PhD in 2021 and already has a notable publication record on these diverse topics, comprising a research monograph. He took part in the activities of several research projects at national and international level, also serving as the principal investigator. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Trapasso on his outstanding achievements. 

As the awardee, Dr. S. Ivan Trapasso will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before the end of 2023 in Axioms after peer-review, and an electronic certificate.

We are inviting applications for a Travel Award for PhD students to attend a conference related to mathematics, mathematical logic, mathematical physics research. The nominations and applications will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Editor-in-Chief of Axioms, Prof. Dr. Humberto Bustince.

Candidates’ Requirements:

–– Applicants must be PhD students involved in the research field of mathematics, mathematical logic or mathematical physics
–– Applicants will present their research (oral presentation or poster) at a conference from September 2018 to December 2019.

Required Application Documents:

–– CV, including a complete list of publications
–– Outline of current and planned future research
–– The conference you will attend and the abstract that will be presented (list the conference name and its website)
–– Recommendation letter from the supervisor, research director or department head which also confirms the applicant’s status as PhD student.

As Editor-in-Chief of the open access journal Axioms. I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2017 Axioms Travel Awards.

Travel Award is granted to Hao Shen, a postdoctoral student in Department of Mathematics at Columbia University.

Hao Shen has been working in the field of stochastic partial differential equations. His recent research mainly focuses on renormalization group methods. He will give a talk about “A central limit theorem for the KPZ equation” at the 2018 IMS Annual Meeting / 12th International Vilnius Conference on Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics.
