Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Dynamic-chemistry-radiative coupling processes between stratosphere and troposphere is currently one of the hottest research areas in the field of global warming. Stratospheric dynamic-chemistry-radiative coupling is an important process that can drive low and high frequency variations in tropospheric circulation and temperature. Despite the robustness of dynamic-chemistry-radiative coupling in both observations and numerical simulations, there is still no consensus as to how the stratosphere triggers dynamical changes in the troposphere. Although tremendous efforts have been made to find out the key factors, the associated coupling processes are still very challenging especially under cloudy sky and terrain conditions. Considering the numerous technical problems, such as machine learning, and the urgent demand for dynamic-chemistry-radiative coupling, this Special Issue aims to publish original research articles concerning the estimation, interaction and combined effects of dynamic-chemistry-radiative coupling processes between stratosphere and troposphere. 

This Special Issue mainly focuses on contributions that address topics including but not limited to:

  • Combined effects of dynamic-chemistry-radiative coupling processes;
  • Estimation of atmospheric chemical processes;
  • Estimation of atmospheric dynamic processes;
  • Estimation of atmospheric radiative processes;
  • Interaction between dynamic, chemistry and radiative in stratosphere;
  • Interaction between stratosphere and troposphere;
  • Dynamic-chemistry-radiative modeling;
  • Remote sensing techniques in the stratosphere.
