Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Research concerning the wheel-rail interaction plays an important role in developing quiet, comfortable and safe high-speed trains. This Special Issue aims to promote the exchange of novel insights into the wheel-rail interaction, including emerging methods, novel models and deep insights into the coupling mechanism of wheel-rail systems. We are particularly interested in works addressing the issues of noise and vibration induced by the wheels and rail. Both the vibroacoustics-related research of train car bodies and the dynamic analysis of wheel-rail systems are welcome. The exact content can be related to methodology validation, numerical simulations, measurements and preliminary novel analyses.
