Dear Colleagues,
Non-food crops are also known as industrial crops and are mostly used in manufacturing to produce textile, biofuel, building constructions, biopolymers, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals ingredients. Even though they are mainly used for industrial purposes, they are rich in secondary metabolites that possess antioxidant properties. Secondary metabolites are low-molecular-weight substances produced by plants that make them competitive in their own environment among other species. These small molecules exert a wide range of effects on the plant itself and on other living organisms, including humans and animals.
In this Special Issue, we will focus on the secondary metabolites of non-food plants and their antioxidant properties. Various types of manuscript reviews and research articles are welcome for submission on non-food crops' secondary metabolites, their application and their effect in different research fields.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
