Publisher’s Note: Targets—A New Open Access Journal

Targets (ISSN 2813-3137) is a new open-access journal launched under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Huangxian Ju and Prof Dr. Ying Liu from Nanjing University [1]. This new journal will focus on the recognition of cellular and therapeutically relevant targets via bioprobes, such as small molecules, macromolecules, nanomaterials, and nanostructures. Emphasis will be placed on measurement methods including electrochemistry, fluorescence, luminescence, Raman spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, etc., as well as therapeutic approaches including chemotherapy, photo-responsive therapy, gene therapy, immune therapy, and so on.

We hope that by bringing together scientists and engineers from across the globe to share their innovative ideas and findings in the field of chemistry, especially chemical measurement science, biology, material science, pharmacy, clinical diagnostics, molecular medicine, and biomedicine, new bio-detection methods and therapies will emerge. As with all MDPI journals, Targets will provide authors with a robust peer review process and rapid publication so that the research community can access their research without undue delay.

Targets welcomes submissions including original research articles, review papers, viewpoint sets, and short communications, and we hope that you will join us in developing this new journal into a leading platform for sharing your research.
