Logic (from ancient Greek “λογικὴ τέχνη (logiké téchnē)”—“thinking art”, “procedure”) is a multidisciplinary field of research studying the formal principles of reasoning. In logic, the structure of arguments is examined with regard to their validity, regardless of the content of the statements. The study of logic dates back to antiquity, traditionally considered as a subfield of philosophy. Since the middle of the 19th century, the study of logic within mathematics emerged and is nowadays applied in a wide range of fields, such as computer science, linguistics, or cognitive science.
Celebrating MDPI’s twenty-fifth anniversary this year [1], we are pleased to announce the addition of Logics (ISSN: 2813-0405) [2] to our portfolio. It is a unique journal on all aspects of logic, including logical systems, methods and theories, mathematical logic, computational logic, philosophical logic, and the history of philosophy of logic and mathematics as well as the application to logic to other disciplines, technology and society.
Logics invites contributions from scholars with expertise in the interdisciplinary field of logic, with the aim to create a platform to share the advancements of knowledge in the field.
As with other MDPI journals, we strive to provide excellent services as well as a fast and rigorous peer review process. We hope that you will enjoy publishing with us.
