Although, the submitted research work on “Dynamic characteristic and parameter analysis of modular building with suspended floors” appears to be an interesting work. However, there are certain issues with the same. Author(s) could be provided an opportunity to resubmit. Following are initial comments:

1. The literature presented in introduction section need to be presented in the Tabular form as it is difficult to follow. It needs to be expanded further.

2. What is the physical significance of equation (36) and equation (37) and how they contributed into the understanding of results needs to be added as well. 

3. Author(s) need to work and expand the discussions part with the help of recent state of the art literature available. Same is very small and poorly discussed.

4. Atleast, from each discussions section, one outcome should be presented point-wise in an expanded form in the conclusion section.       

5. Add future recommendations for further investigation as well.

6. How author(s) arrived at the optimal parameters is disturbing without in-depth analysis?

The article is a interesting scientific study in the field of construction, in particular modular buildings.

To increase the value of the article, it is suggested that the Authors supplement the content of the article with information on:

- thermal insulation of modular buildings considered in the article,

- acoustic insulation of modular buildings considered in the article,

- possibilities of practical use of the modular buildings considered in the article,

- directions for further research on the subject of modular buildings considered in the article.

Title: Dynamic Characteristic and Parameter Analysis of Modular Building with Suspended Floors


This paper conducted a study on the dynamic characteristics and dynamic parameters of modular buildings with suspended floors through a numerical analysis method. The topic of this paper is that a study on dynamic information on a modular building capable of rapid construction, so it seems to be very interested topic.


However, there are some issues which can be improved.

1. Abstract must be rewritten. Contents of abstract is less related. In general, The main purpose of the abstract is to provide the reader with a concise overview of why the study is needed, the purpose of the project, the research questions, the key materials and methods used, and the key results and conclusions.

2. On third paragraph in second page: Each sentence is less related. For instance, there are roughly three items in this paragraph: FIS vibration technology, connection mechanism, dynamic equation. Please revise these sentences.

3. For Chapter 3, what is the purpose of these equations and matrix? 

Do authors develop a numerical software? 

It seems that ABAQUS are used to perform numerical analysis in this study. If you use it, what is the relation between equations and ABAQUS?

4. What is the DOF of your proposed matrix?

5. In Chapter 5, there is no information related to ‘OPTIMIZATION’. Please provide the relevant information such as, constraints, objective/fitness function, optimization method, etc.

6. In Chapter 5, there are plenty of figures (Figure 9 ~ Figure 11). However, there are less investigation and discusses on these figures. Please, provide more information about investigation and discusses.
